While we stay at home for the next few days during COVID-19 alert level 3, why not treat ourselves to a restaurant quality meal in your very own living room? The Grove

The Grove has made up two sumptuous care packages to get us through the weekend. The menu is designed for two people to share, in either a pescatarian or carnivore option. They'll provide you with a few simple to follow cooking instructions for cooking the protein and warming sauces and vegetables to make your Grove experience smooth and easy. Both packages include their delicious sticky toffee pudding with Lewis Road Creamery vanilla ice cream for dessert as well as a main and some accompaniments. In the pescatarian package you'll find 250g of catch of the day fillets, basil sauce vierge, and a crushed perla potato and fennel salad. The carnivore package will treat you with 800g of dry aged rib eye on the bone, potato gratin with very old edam cheese & garlic, braised beans, and a peppercorn sauce.

Cassia has created a special menu of their all time favourite dishes available for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home! From 5 delicious mains, to take home kits and a set menu for two, Cassia's at home offering is brining restaurant quality meals right to your bubble. Meal kits (which require some reheating and assembly) can be ordered for pick up Thursday-Sunday 4-8pm, and include all the ingredients and cooking instructions for either Chicken Tikka Sliders or marinated lamb chops. If you just want to have your meal ready the minute it arrives at your door, grab a dish from their mains that comes with rice and naan, or opt for the Cassia Journey menu. The Journey Through India menu serves two and comes with a selection of Cassia's signature dishes.

Homeland has launched Homeland@Home to bring you their contactless pick up and reheat meals. Their takeaway menu includes starters like watermelon, buffalo feta and tomato salad or creamed Chatham Islands pāua to add to your own toast. All mains need reheating and include dishes such as wood-roast Greenlea beef short rib off the bone with kimchi cucumber slaw, orange aioli and cashews. Complete your meal with a few sides and finish it off with a mouth-watering dessert like their lime coconut sago with roast nectarine and toasted coconut or the rolled pavlova with raspberries, sesame praline and cream. Yum!

1947 Eatery

1947 Eatery's new menu is available for takeaway during the lockdown, and we're not sure what to order! Order online via their website for contactless pickup, or get your meal delivered by ordering through Uber Eats. Fill your bubble with the beautiful aromas of 1947's flavourful dishes like their juicy tandoori chicken, or delicious spinach kofta. 1947's menu is also great if you've got dietary requirements to cater for, with plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options to choose from.

Nothing is better than tacos when we're stuck at home, and Mexico is making that happen. All of Mexico's best dishes are available for takeaway. Specialties like their ceviche or their agave braised pork ribs can be made to go, as well as plenty of sides, tasty quesadillas, and next level tacos. culprit's Duck Deluxe Meal Kit is back! To get us through the latest lockdown, culprit have brought back their $99 at home meal kit for two. The menu includes a pour over tipple from their bar little culprit (just add your own vodka or gin), small bites, their famous roast duck, and a peanut slab trifle to finish. Meals are chilled and ready to reheat, assemble and consume. Orders must be made by 9pm the night before.

Tanuki’s Cave aren’t letting us miss out on our fix of insanely tasty Japanese bites. From yakitori to kushiage, donburi, salads and sides, everything you could ever want from Tanuki’s is available for either contactless pick up or delivery.

Mad Samurai 

If Tanuki’s Cave doesn’t strike your fancy, more Japanese delights can be ordered from Mad Samurai during this lockdown. We suggest trying the Wagyu Tasty Box, it’s one of their most popular dishes! This bento box comes with a Chef’s selection of Wagyu, karaage chicken with garlic rice and mashed potato.

Scarecrow has an array of great ready meals you can order while we're in the current lockdown. Designed to take the pressure off of busy evenings, you won't be disappointed with the selection on offer at Scarecrow with options to suit vegetarian and gluten free diets too. Try out the beef, red wine and mushroom pie, or the mushroom, spinach and lentil pie. If you're just not sure what to choose, or have a few mouths to feed, let the chef's make the decision for you and order the chef's selection meal kit. Cafe Hanoi have been working hard to make sure you don't miss out on their tasty meals while we're at home. From the 4th of March, their menu will be available for contactless curbside pickup via online ordering from their website or by delivery with Uber Eats.

What’s a restaurant quality meal without a drink? Available for pick up or delivery, is Brolly’s outstanding cocktail menu. From their house martini to other more interesting concoctions like the Rosita Colada (coconut tequila, spiced rum, aperitif wine, gentian and pineapple shrub), take your pick of one of their cocktails to enhance your takeaway meal. Brolly are also selling two meal kits from their kitchen for you to make at home. Choose between the smashed burger pack or their chipotle brisket taco pack.
