One of the best ways to tap into the culture of any city is by visiting their local markets. The markets Auckland city centre offer don’t stop at fresh produce and general essentials, but also cover local arts and crafts, delicious food and beverages, and even continue on into the evening with one of the best events on the Auckland night markets calendar. Here are the ones to add to your must-visit list.

Farmers market

Wynyard Pavillion Fresh Product Market | 17 Jellicoe Street

Come down and do your weekly shop at Auckland's only waterfront Fresh Produce Market. With over 16 artisanal producers, this brand new market is your one-stop shop for fresh vegetables, orchard picked fruit, flowers, cheese, milk, honey, coffee beans, sourdough loaves, free range eggs, smoked salmon and so much more. A walk by the water, live music and bacon butties straight off the BBQ means the weekly grocery shop can be enjoyable again.

For the first time in 2019 there was even a Christmas market held here every Thursday evening in December, and given its success who knows - we may soon have another addition to the recurring Auckland night markets scene.
