The heart of the city and Karangahape Road will be awash with art, colour and light for three weeks during May as the city centre becomes the canvas for a trail of over 50 installations and artworks in laneways, squares, streets, trees and even hanging overhead. From Commercial Bay to the Viaduct, The Civic, Sky Tower, the laneways and more, come in and explore colourful art by day and magical light by night. Check out an exciting programme below and look out for these and more stunning works from May 6-22.
City of Colour is a partnership between Heart of the City and Auckland Council, and a large number of other city centre partners. This vibrant art programme is co-curated by award-winning designer Angus Muir and Auckland Council’s city centre place activation principal, Barbara Holloway.
