Tabac is now closed.
This much-loved bar has recently been refurbished with beautifully polished floors and tables, a spruced up courtyard area and a comfortable back room to enjoy with friends and loved ones.
Tabac is a hidden gem of the central city, open from 4pm till late it's the perfect place to stop in after work or before a show for some quality drinks and nibbles.
Located on Auckland's Mills Lane, over the years Tabac has become something of a night life institution, bringing premium drinks and tasty bar food to patrons since 1997.
On our last visit we thoroughly enjoyed the house cocktail special - an espresso martini made with vodka, Tia Maria, white creme de cacao and of course deliciously rich espresso. This was paired nicely with a simple but perfectly made crispy cheese toastie - made fresh to order.
Tabac is also well renowned for its Tabac Comedy Tuesdays. Every Tuesday, up to nine comedians perform their best stuff at Tabac.
