School Holidays at the Sky Tower

Spring school holidays are almost upon us, so we've rounded up a selection of fun central city activities for you and your family.

From a Harry Potter-themed high tea to free art workshops, there is so much fun to be had these school holidays.

Wizardry High Tea
6 and 7 October at Stamford Plaza Auckland

Wizards and witches; gather your hats, brooms and wands and make your way to Stamford Plaza Auckland's Wizardry High Tea for a magical afternoon filled with delicious sweet and savoury treats with magical twists.

The Tower Champs - Grand Finale
29 September - 14 October at the Sky Tower

Come to the Sky Tower these School Holidays and get your official lanyards to compete in challenges and earn all three wristbands to become the ultimate athlete.

Kids Cooking Classes
3, 4, 8 and 12 October at the Auckland Seafood School

Get the family together for a fun and interactive hands on cooking class full of excitement, learning and delicious food, from prawn mac'n'cheese and fish tacos to sesame shrimp noodles and no bake banana cheesecake.

Made | Do: Painting Classes for Tamariki
6 and 7 October, New Zealand Maritime Museum

These school holidays, you little ones can learn how to draw and paint a seascape scene step by step. They will leave with a one-of-a-kind painting and the skills to keep creative at home. 

Pump Track at Silo Park

Get your unmotorized bikes, scooters and skateboards (and helmets!) together and head to Silo Park for a fun-filled afternoon.The track will be there from now until the end of October. 

Ports of Auckland Heritage Tugboat Sailings
Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday 29 September to Sunday 14 October

As part of this year’s Auckland Heritage Festival, you and your family can enjoy a fun 90-minute cruise aboard the iconic William C Daldy steam tugboat. You will cruise through the port's wharves at work and under the Auckland Harbour Bridge where the Daldy once famously saved a piece from floating away during its construction. What a great way to celebrate out city’s maritime heritage and explore the stunning Waitematā Harbour.

29 September at Central City Library

Join OMG Tech! and Central City Library for a workshop specially designed to empower young women to become the innovators and inventors of their generation. They are specifically designed to build confidence in 8-12 year old girls. Don't miss this fun (and free) morning of learning!

Workshops on the Wharf
7 and 14 October at Silo Park

Get the kids involved in a range of activities from creative arts & crafts to practical skills and sport activities next to the play area, or in the kiosk if it is raining.

Tamariki Take Action
29 September - 14 October at Central City Library

These school holidays at Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero (Central City Library)  the next generation of changemakers is encouraged to take up their place on the soapbox and tell the world what really matters to their generation!
