It's that time of year again, the day the Irish (and everyone else who wishes they were) don their best green outfits and celebrate in style. So raid your wardrobe, put on that ‘kiss me I’m Irish’ pin and head into the heart of the city for some great craic and plenty of ways to celebrate St Patrick's Day!

St Patrick's Day Festival parade

St Patrick's Festival Parade | Queen Street | 16 Mar 2025, 12pm-1pm

Starting at midday, this festive parade will see colourful floats, marching bands, dance performers and more making their way down Queen Street.

Irish Music and Dance Festival | Te Komititanga | 16 Mar 2025, 10.30am-3.30pm 

After the St Patrick's Day parade down Queen Street, the celebrations will continue down at Te Komititanga Square (near Commercial Bay/Britomart Station). The entire family will be able to enjoy dancing, music, face-painting, balloon twisting, arts and crafts, and more.

The St Patrick's Festival Market is back and will see plenty of food and drink stalls alongside arts and crafts to celebrate the day down in Te Komititanga.

St Patrick's Weekend at Father Ted's | Father Ted's Pub | 14, 15, 16, 17 Mar 2025

With live music popping off from Friday to Monday of the Saint Patrick's Day weekend, including day bands on Monday 17th of March, Father Ted's is place to be for St Patrick's Day this year!

$12 Guinness pints will flow all weekend long, from Saturday 15th - Monday 17th March — or until the kegs run out! After last year's overwhelming response, The Brit are back to do it all over again and are gearing up for another epic celebration.

St Patrick's Day at Danny Doolans

Celebrate St Patrick's Day in style | Danny Doolans

This year, Danny Doolans are doing St Patrick's Day even bigger and better than the last! On Saturday 15th, enjoy live Music from 3pm and try out Paddy's corned beef & colcannon.  On Sunday 16th, come on down to see live music as well as a performance by traditional Irish dancers from 11am. On Monday 17th, Doolans will be open from 8am for a full Irish breakfast & a pint with more live music and traditional Irish dance performances from 9am.
