The Drawing Room sets out to answer the timeless question:
Does life imitate art, or does art imitate life?
We believe the answer is YES.
We invite you to attend our alternative life-drawing event where you will be treated to a dizzying range of scenes from classical and modern paintings, all accompanied by live music to enhance the atmosphere of the space. Our model will pose alone, and sometimes with the help of special guests, for your drawing pleasure. It is very important that you know that zero skill or experience is required to enjoy The Drawing Room. We will provide the art supplies. Just bring your self and your curiosity.
During lockdown one of our talented friends (Niahm O’Keeffe) used the rare moment of down time to create an incredible collection of costumes, props and concepts that reflect scenes created by famous painters including Michelangelo, Jackson Pollock, and Vincent van Gogh.
This show is for adults of all ages who want to engage with and express their creativity. The Drawing Room has existed for several years and we take great pride in the diversity of backgrounds, ages, cultures, and artistic traditions that our patrons represent. We lean towards the fringe at all times and strive to create an inclusive and empowering space for all people to express themselves.
