New Zealand Sign Language tour | 19 JUL | $69 - $130

Join in a New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) tour for Deaf visitors through A Century of Modern Art. This 90-minute tour will be led by Deaf artist Abbie Twiss with supporting interpretation by Platform Interpreting NZ. Twiss has worked as an artist, art teacher and interpreter in Melbourne and Aotearoa. A graduate of University of Auckland’s Elam School of Fine Arts, she has regularly exhibited since 1994.

The self-proclaimed People's Princess of Aotearoa, Chris Parker is most commonly known for his funny Instagram and Tiktok videos which built him a huge social media audience over the last few years, his legendary win on the hit New Zealand TV show Celebrity Treasure Island and most strangely a felted hat he made during the 2020 nationwide lockdown that was then acquired is on display at The Auckland Museum and Te Papa the National Museum of New Zealand.

Pollywood Pasifika Film Screening | 26 JUL | Free

Gus Fisher Gallery and Pollywood Pasifika Film proudly present a screening of select short films exploring climate change in the Pacific, curated by Craig Fasi. Drawing out dialogues raised in the exhibition Tala o le tau, these films examine the urgency and resilience of Pasifika people in the face of the climate crisis.
