Between October 4-13, the city centre will transform into a canvas for Art Week 2024, with over 60 installations, exhibitions, guided walks, murals, performances and more.

Changing Lanes
New Zealand artists have created nine incredible large-scale installations in laneways throughout the city centre. Each piece nods to the unique heritage of its location, how the space is used and the changing nature of urban environments.
Late Night Art
A firm favourite amongst art lovers, the vibrant Late Night Art returns to the High Street district on Thursday, October 10 between 5 pm and 9 pm.
Explore a magical light installation and grab a pizza in Khartoum Place. Have a boogie with renowned DJs in the transformed space at Freyburg Place. Weigh in on A Taste of Art Battle and meet illustrators at the Illustrators Market at Ellen Melville Centre. Wander a closed High Street for even more art you can take home at the Art Market and shop Ruby High Street, which is also up late.
City Art Walks

Unlocked Collections
Tucked away in corporate towers, academic institutions and public buildings across the city centre is some seriously sumptuous art.
