All My Friends present a screening of Niu Gold Mountain.

The Migrant Diaspora is often defined by the narrative of the search for a better life, an experience shared by Asian and Pasifika immigrants to Aotearoa. Niu Gold Mountain is a collection of collaborative video works that brings these histories together through over 20 different creatives. Chinese immigrants sought their "New Gum San" in the gold mines, and Pasifika immigrants searched for their "Land of Milk & Honey”. All My Friends explores these concepts in the present day. What are the aspirations of this generation's Asian and Pasifika artists? What do they see as their Niu Gold Mountain?

Niu Gold Mountain will include video works from 2023, and 2024. Both graciously funded through Creative NZ x Foundation North, and initially exhibited at Studio One (Toi Tū).
