Hui Auaha o Aotearoa - Open Day at the Fashion Museum is a contribution to the Global Fashioning Assembly 2024 (GFA24), a gathering of global fashion makers that reaches across disciplines and geographical boundaries to recognise how diverse fashion is.

Join some of their online audience as they gather for a day of hands-on activities that take you behind their online presence and mahi. The day offers first hand experience of the museum’s exhibition making, opportunities to engage with our kaupapa and participatory workshops that cover archival researching, collection preparation, documenting, building relationships with our clothing and above all, storytelling.

The New Zealand Fashion Museum will occupy a physical space at the Auckland Central Library on Saturday 12 October 2024 from 10am-4pm.
