RED CLAY is the foundation of Earth. RED CLAY is the foundation of life.
The nights focus will be on genres such as Jazz Funk, Modern Soul, House, Gospel, Disco, MPB and other types of AMAZING music that does not get enough air time in the club.
To kick things off it only felt right to assemble some of the baddest record collectors and selectors this town has to offer to deliver a night that surely will go down as one of the most serious dance-floor work outs this city has seen for some time.
Kicking things off we have
- Jeremy Morris (Rain and Shine Records)
Despite the low profile Jeremy is ten years deep in collecting Modern Soul, Boogie, Gospel, Afro and Brazilian grooves. His imprint Rain&Shine (est. 2017) delivers quality vinyl re-issues of relatively unknown records for new heads to discover and enjoy on the dancefloor. We still cannot believe a label with so much interest worldwide is run by our mate down in Wellington but we LOVE it and you will too xx
- Native Bush
Activist, Performance Artist, Taste maker are a few of the things we would describe Native Bush as but really there is no words that define this spirit. We are so happy to have one of Auckland's greatest creatives join us on the night.
- Forrest Bump
International man of leisure, Forrest Bump is no stranger to Auckland dance floors. Forrest has been one of the leading the charges in pushing music forward in Tāmaki Makaurau for some time so it only felt right to extend the invitation to share some gems from his collection.
- Azbo
Long time record collector, DJ and Promoter, Azbo wears many different hats in this biz. Once common thing binds it all together and that is a deep LOVE of sharing music with others. He will be only be drawing top shelf tunes for the dance floor. Be ready.
