A Taste of Asian Cuisine is a series of cooking demonstrations diving into cuisines from various Asian countries. With step-by-step cooking demonstrations, you will be taken on a journey throughout Asia and the home countries.
In conjunction of Diwali celebration, you are invited to learn how to make Thosai, a rice and Urid dhal pancake and Malaysian Indian style chicken curry, a dish served as breakfast in special occasions like Diwali.
You will have the opportunity to learn the story behind the dish, taste the food and take home the recipe.
This demonstration will be presented by Kalai Krishnan, a single mother of 4 who loves cooking and feeding others.
This is a free event organised by Ellen Melville Centre (EMC) and Central City Libraries (CCL). Registration is essential.
