Taking place during winter every year, Matariki signals the Māori New Year and begins with the rising of the star cluster of the same name.

From 15 to 28 June, Matariki ki te Manawa will fill Te Pokapū Taone, our vibrant city centre with 20+ events and activations. From learning experiences and storytelling to lighting splendour, kōrero, music, art and more, there's plenty to see and do - check out some of the highlights below.
