ART WALKS tour on March 27 - SOLD OUT

ART WALKS is a series of free walking tours* sampling a dynamic mix of galleries and other creative spaces across the city centre. Experience some of the best exhibitions in the heart of the city guided by informed, accessible and engaging speakers on art.

Held on Saturday March 20 and 27, each tour is 70-80 minutes, beginning at 11am or 1pm. The tours are led by informed and engaging tour guides (Megan Shaw, University of Auckland PhD candidate and Emil McAvoy, University of Auckland alumnus).

The city centre tour includes Gus Fisher Gallery, Visions, Gow Langsford (both Lorne street and Kitchener street) and finish outside the Auckland Art Gallery.

All are welcome, and no prior experience of contemporary art is necessary. The walks are free to attend but bookings are essential as places are limited.

Meet and chat with others interested in or curious about art. You could also bring a friend or a date, grab a bite or drink in a local bar or eatery and make a day of it.

*Other tours available for K’ Road, Parnell and Ponsonby.

ART WALKS is curated by artist and art writer Emil McAvoy, and generously funded by Heart of the City, Karangahape Road Business Association, Parnell Business Association and Love Ponsonby.
