Ghost Street

Ghost Street | $55 for a three course Chinese lunch or dinner

Ghost Street has quickly become a household name in the Auckland food scene despite only being open for a few months. Sequestered in the basement of the Stanbeth building, a 130-year-old warehouse situated in Britomart, Ghost Street is a reimagining of the heady hole-in-the-wall eateries that run along Beijing's famous food street of the same name. This Restaurant Month is the perfect chance to check it out for the first time while enjoying their $55 offer which includes a selection of dishes to choose from like steamed wong bok rolls, soy and fresh chilli; soy braised (Dong Po) pork belly; red braised brisket and baked coconut buns. See full menu and ts&cs here.

kingi | $60 for a two course lunch or dinner + a glass of wine

Local, sustainably caught seafood that tastes like the ocean it came from. That’s kingi's (short for kingfish) motto. If you’re a fan of seafood, this is a great place to go this Restaurant Month. Their $60 two-course menu starts with an antipaste sharing platter with octopus carpaccio and wood-roasted oyster mushrooms, followed by main choices of whole flounder or venison, as well as a vegetarian option of wood-roasted cauliflower. If the food isn’t enough to draw you in already, the warmth of the open fireplace against the stunning exposed brick walls sure will. See full menu and ts&cs here
