As warmer days draw near, so too do new seasonal items and the urge to indulge in retail therapy. The city centre offers a concentrated collection of unique retailers, many exclusive to the city centre, so you know you’re in for an exciting shopping experience. Check out our itinerary below and make it a day of shopping!

The morning in Britomart

Fuel your morning of shopping in Britomart with coffee and a leisurely breakfast. Set in an elegant, sun-filled conservatory, Ortolana is a lush spot to kick off your day, or, if you're after a mouth-watering pastry and coffee, try La Petite Fourchette

Next is a post breakfast stroll through Britomart's impressive list of retailers. We’re loving Karen Walker's colourful collection of shoes and Ama La Vita's stunning tumblers.

Mid-morning in Commercial Bay

Your next destination brings a world class mix of retail to the city centre. Commercial Bay is the city’s newest shopping precinct and a must-visit on your day out.

Service Denim will fill all your denim needs, while Creative & Brave have a beautiful range of jewellery.

After a bite to eat? Commercial Bay has something for everyone. For a long lunch in a beautiful setting, try Origine or Poni. For a quick pit stop, we recommend a trip to Harbour Eats. This luxurious food court has everything from Burger Burger and Good Dog Bad Dog to Oji Sushi, Nam Nam, Fatima's and so much more! Check out all that's on offer here

An afternoon on Queen Street

Once refuelled, wander up Queen Street, where you’ll find big designer brands for extra splurges, sportswear shops including the brand-new Nike Auckland City, and your favourite chain stores.

Shoe lovers will find their heaven at Pat Menzies; we love their range of Birkenstocks. Or, if you’re on the hunt for some new summer sunnies, check out Sunglass Hut, now stocking Ray Ban’s earliest pilot-shape design.

Late afternoon on High Street

Finish your day in the High Street district and immerse yourself in the eclectic mix of stores, from independent labels, mainstream brands, on-trend footwear, gifts and more.

AS Colour is the place to go for quality basics, while Gorman has some beautiful statement pieces! We’re loving the colour and patterns in their Hattie x Gorman collection. If you’re on the hunt for a gift, we recommend something from Aesop's gift range, or a book from Unity Books.

Looking for a drink to end the day? From Cornerbar and Housebar in Hotel DeBrett, to The Occidental on Vulcan Lane and Mezze Bar or My Bar on Durham Lane, the High Street District is packed with options!
