Metita | SkyCity | Now open
SkyCity is expanding their culinary portfolio once again with Michael Meredith's new venture, Metita. Bringing a unique new offering to Auckland’s dining scene, Metita will draw inspiration from Meredith’s upbringing in Samoa, reimagining traditional flavours for contemporary tastes.
Gilt Brasserie | Now open
This October, the High Street District will welcome Josh Emmett’s brand-new restaurant, Gilt Brasserie. Set to be a bustling, vibrant new space, the upmarket eatery will have the capacity to accommodate up to 130 guests for both lunch and dinner. With a focus on simple, unfussy food, it will cater to a range of diners, from those after a quick, casual lunch to those seeking a leisurely dinner with friends.
InterContinental Auckland’s signature restaurant | opening early 2024
Headed by a highly acclaimed chef (soon to be revealed!), the InterContinental’s signature restaurant will showcase the multi-cultural landscape of Auckland through an amalgamation of Turkish, Greek, Italian and Middle Eastern notes. Keep your eyes peeled on more information to come here.

Kajiken | 23 Shortland Street | Now open
Coming all the way from China, Singapore and the United States, this new spot will specialise in Aburasoba (otherwise known as Japanese-syle ramen). Simple in looks, this bowl of goodness is in no way simple in flavour... and the countdown is on until you can try it for yourself!
Elliott Stables | 39-41 Elliott Street | Now open
The much-loved Elliott Stables is getting a revamp and is due to open very soon. This high-end street food and drinking hall will be reminiscent of those in the streets of Asia and Europe. There will be a bunch of new eateries to add to your list, including Jungle 8, the sister restaurant of the renowned, Lucky 8. From neon lights and life-size animal sculptures to a menu where everything is $8.88, we can tell this spot is going to be a hit!
Mibo | 155 Beaumont Street | Now open
Mibo has gained a cult-following for their top-tier baked goods - so it was particularly exciting to hear about their second shop coming to Wynyard Quarter soon. Set to be bigger and better, we're counting down the days, hours and minutes until we can pay them a visit.

moochi | Commercial Bay | Now open
Coming just in time for all your spring shopping needs, moochi's brand new flagship store is a very welcome addition to Commercial Bay's already impressive lineup of retailers. Head in store this October to shop their bold yet femme new season collection, Rèalisme.
Spacefor | Tyler Street | Now open
Spacefor recently opened their first showroom in Britomart and have had a range of epic brands through already – think Porter James, Rebe, Allpress, Flow Studio Ceramics and more. In exciting retail news, they’ll be opening a second showroom on Tyler Street this October – meaning plenty more pop-ups in store! Keep an eye on what’s popping up next here.
