Vegetarians and plant-based diners, we’ve got you covered this Restaurant Month. Step into the elegant dining room of the Sudima Hotel and you’ll find East Restaurant, a modern, veg-forward Asian restaurant that takes on bold, piquant, aromatic flavours of Asia; presenting them in a unique plant focussed dining experience with the same great taste and flavours you'd expect from a conventinal Asian eatery.
This exclusive Chef’s Table menu has been designed by Executive Chef Stuart Marsden and Head Chef Vincent Yan, and is bringing back some iconic favourites from East.
The team in the kitchen at East is incredibly diverse, spanning from China to Sri Lanka, Thailand to Hong Kong and every major Asian country in between. Executive Chef Stuart Marsden leads the kitchen troupe armed with his extensive culinary career in prominent restaurants across Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Bali and prior to joining East, alongside Che Barrington at the Blue Breeze Inn, Auckland. Alongside Stuart is Guangzhou-native wok master and Head Chef Vincent Yan who will showcase his mastery in Cantonese cuisine and wok-hei (meaning “breath of the wok”) into the dishes that will be served for the evening.
This uniquely plant-focussed menu has been designed to share, but will also include some individually plated dishes. Come dine with East this August and taste the quintessential aromas and flavours of Asia. This 5 course menu will be matched to wines and cocktails.

Mango pudding with coconut sorbet, sago pearls and toasted coconut shards
Matched with a bacardi rum cocktail with coconut cream, sugar syrup and coffee liqueur.
