More detailsAuckland's first ever vegan Yum Cha!
In keeping with the East ethos to deliver plant-powered dishes that don’t sacrifice on flavour, their Yum Cha menu curation is a take on the traditional offering but with an entirely vegetarian twist. Expect renditions of classic Dim Sum dishes such as Char Siu Bao with sticky jackfruit, or Har Goa dumplings where shrimp is substituted for water chestnut mushrooms. You’ll also find some existing favourites, like their beloved Spring Onion Pancake and Crispy Spring Rolls. And as is tradition, end your meal in appropriate fashion with a selection of sweet treats like Deep Fried Sesame Balls or Mango Tapioca Pudding. Many of the dishes are made in-house with their resident experience and expertise, and some of the dumpling selections have been produced by master dumpling makers exclusively for East.
Yum Cha at East runs every Sunday from 11.30am – 2.30pm.
It is located on the ground floor of the Sudima Auckland City Hotel, at 63-67 Nelson Street, Auckland CBD. Bookings are strongly encouraged. For more information and bookings see, here.
