Set sail on a culinary journey through the Pacific as Metita celebrates it's first birthday with an unforgettable evening of food and culture. For this special event, award-winning chef Michael Meredith joins forces with the pioneer of Pacific Rim cuisine, Peter Gordon, to craft a menu that honours the traditions of the Pacific while pushing the boundaries of modern cuisine.
This is more than just a dinner—it’s a celebration of heritage, flavours, and the legacy that Peter Gordon has built over the years. Michael Meredith, who has long admired Peter’s revolutionary work with Polynesian cuisine is excited to bring him back for this one-night-only event at Metita.
Together, they will create a multi-course menu that blends traditional Pacific flavours with innovative techniques, offering a dining experience that both delights and entertains. Guests will enjoy a signature Pacific cocktail on arrival, followed by four courses with each dish telling a story of Pacific heritage.
