What do a kid’s party entertainer, a waitress, a stand-up comedian, a hopeful writer, an actor and a stay-at-home philosopher all have in common? They’re either working hard or..

‘Hardly Working’ is a new play written from the perspective of an uncertain, neurotic 24-year old, coming to terms with adulthood.

Set to the backdrop of an original score; the show is a kaleidoscopic collage exploring the lives of an eclectic group of 20-somethings spanning the full spectrum of hope and despair.

The show invites us into moments of quiet intimacy, terrible jobs, breakups, first love, self-doubt, life-changing epiphanies, inexplicable sexual fantasies and sheer, unending existential dread.

Funny, moving and devastatingly honest, this is a show that reflects the epic scope of feelings that accompany youthful unknowing.

$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more
