From the private collection of the dynastic Corsini family in Florence, Italy comes this fascinating exhibition featuring Renaissance and Baroque paintings by artists such as Sandro Botticelli, Andrea del Sarto, Caravaggio and Jacopo da Pontormo. Providing a window on the Corsini family’s continuing passion for collecting art, the exhibition details their support of artists, their ongoing loyalty to the city of Florence, and their ability to persevere through the devastation of WWll and against the forces of nature during the Florence flood of 1966.
Travelling from Italy for the very first time, this exhibition is organised by the Galleria Corsini, Florence; Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki; Art Gallery of Western Australia and MondoMostre, Rome.
