UPDATE: due to bad weather conditions over the weekend, the Durham Street East installation is currently undergoing repairs and will be ready for viewing in time for Late Night Art on Wednesday 12 October.
Changing Lanes is a collaborative project between Artweek Auckland, Auckland Council and Heart of the City. Changing Lanes will bring together six projects that will transform Auckland’s urban space from 8-16 October, as part of Artweek Auckland. Working with installation, social and interactive media, a selection of leading New Zealand artists will activate Auckland laneways. Projects will reference Auckland's unique heritage and signal the changing nature of the city's urban spaces and potential future use of the sites.
Below is a list of the laneways which will be transformed as part of the Changing Lanes project - make sure to visit them them all during Artweek.
