Tangata Whenua is an exhibition of new and recent works by Robyn Kahukiwa. The show continues her long-standing interest in uplifting and empowering Māori people, and promoting mana motuhake and tino rangatiratanga. It is a testament to her unwavering commitment to advocacy through her art.

Kahukiwa is one of Aotearoa’s most important living artists. Since the early 1970s, she has explored questions of heritage, identity, and sovereignty central to the Māori experience and relevant to Indigenous people internationally.
