April School Holidays - Hitches & Harbours at NZ Maritime Museum

From 14 - 29 April, get your family together to enjoy a variety of activities in the central city. We have selected the ones that we think you can't miss this April. 

Dance-O-Mat
14 - 29 April 2018, Aotea Square

Come on down to Aotea Square during the April School Holidays to experience an urban space specifically designed to bring people together via spontaneous dancing. Place a token in the vintage washing machine-come-jukebox. Plug in your phone or music device and play your favourite song. Then dance!

The Tower Champs
14 - 29 April 2018, the Sky Tower

Your little ones can enjoy a day full of fun activities including a relay race on the secret floor up the Sky Tower. Receive your very own racing bib, compete in the challenges and earn all three of the collector’s wristbands to become a sporting legend.

Run Jump Throw
27 April 2018, 12pm

Run Jump Throw is a fun and exciting kid’s programme designed by Athletics New Zealand and it’s coming to SKYCITY. There will be heaps of games to keep the kids entertained and best thing is, it’s free if you attend The Tower Champs holiday programme.

Hitches & Habours
16 - 27 April 2018, NZ Maritime Museum

Whether it's rain or shine, kids will love the school holiday fun at the NZ Maritime Museum this Autumn including a live storybook show about the tales of the Manukau Harbour, knot board craft workshops, heritage sailings and more.

Up, Up and Away at Central City Library

It's school holiday time again and your kids can enjoy heaps of exciting workshops at Central City Library. There's everything from rubber band engineering to crazy cardboard box city construction and a not to be missed exploration of the library's basement.

The Perfect Gift
25 - 28 April 2018, Herald Theatre

With only 30 cents in their pyjama pockets, this band of brothers sets out on a quest to find the perfect gift for their Mum in the imaginary world beyond their bedroom. Together they will fight dragons, fly on carpets and transform into superheroes to give their Mum the best birthday ever.
