For the first time ever, you can get from Central, East and South Auckland, all the way to the Airport for half the price of a flat white*.
Travel on AirportLink buses and trains
To get to Auckland Airport, hop on one of the Southern or Eastern Line trains, which run every 10 minutes during peak times**, and hop off once you get to Puhinui Station.
Connect here with the orange AirportLink bus, which runs every 10 minutes from approximately 4:30am to 1:00am. AirportLink buses have room for your luggage onboard and travel on bus priority lanes to both the Domestic and International Airport Terminals.
Travel time from Puhinui Station is roughly 13-15 minutes to the Domestic Terminal and 18-20 minutes to the International Terminal.
**weekday services only. Check the Journey Planner for train running times.
Travel from the Airport to the City Centre
The AirportLink bus departs from Bus stop B at the Domestic Terminal and Bus stop A at the International Terminal. Take the bus to Puhinui Station where you can connect with a train. You can stay on the train until you get to Britomart in the city centre, or get off at your local station.
Get an AT HOP card
You’ll need an AT HOP card to use the AirportLink. You can get one of these at the Airport from AirGo Convenience (Domestic) or Take Home Convenience (International). There are also AT HOP retailers all across Auckland, where AT HOP cards can be purchased and topped up.
AT HOP cards have a purchase price of $10, but for a limited time you can buy one for just $5*.

Plan your journey
Like any trip to the Airport it’s important to plan your journey in advance, as weekend rail services are occasionally subject to closures. You can plan your journey with the AT Mobile app or Journey Planner.
