This October, a remarkable new installation is set to transform Auckland's city centre, where you can step inside a space that is equal parts fashion, art and reflection.
Opening at the New Zealand International Convention Centre on 1 October to mark the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Dressing Room is an immersive fashion installation on a truly extraordinary scale. Stretching almost 24 metres long and five metres high, the three-storey structure features 26 individually curated rooms, creating a journey that is as thought-provoking as it is visually striking.
Wrapped in close to a kilometre of fabric and featuring hundreds of T-shirts woven into its façade, the installation makes an immediate impression. Yet beyond the spectacle lies a deeply personal story.
For many women, the dressing room is more than a place to try on clothes. It is a space where they see themselves, reconnect with their bodies and, sometimes, notice that something has changed. The Dressing Room draws on this familiar experience, transforming it into a powerful exploration of body awareness, self-discovery and the importance of paying attention to our health.
