Food is better when shared
Come along to a free, open-air, climate-friendly community meal is coming to the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland!
Everybody Eats in Te Komititanga invites people from all walks of life to come together, share kai, and connect over a meal with sustainability at its heart. Taking place on Saturday, 22nd March, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, this special gathering is hosted at Te Komititanga, in Downtown Auckland.
The meal is free, and on the day, guests will have the option to pay it forward to help feed someone in need. The meal will be made using partly rescued food, thanks to the generosity of KiwiHarvest, reinforcing the importance of reducing food waste while providing delicious, nourishing dishes.
Designed to bring people together and unite the community on a larger scale and spark new connections over a shared meal. This one-off dining experience in the heart of the city is about inspiring change, raising awareness of climate-friendly dining and giving people the opportunity to pay it forward, helping fund quality meals for those in need.
Made possible with the support of Auckland Council Whānau and the city centre targeted rate, and brought to life by Everybody Eats, Kiwi Harvest and Interesting Things, come along and be part of something special - because food is better when shared.
