Celebrate 20 Years with Tunes! 

If you're enjoying the sunshine in Takutai Square, we've got something for you that will hopefully raise that enjoyment even further: live music performances to celebrate 20 years since the start of Britomart's regeneration. The concert is free for all ages, DJ'd and MC'd by the energetic DJ Happyfeet. Scroll down to see everything you need to know to catch this line up of epic performers!

JUGA | 4:30pm – 4:45pm

Jazmin Ugapo known as Juga is a singer/songwriter who won Stand Up Stand Out (SUSO), Tāmaki Makaurau’s most prestigious youth music and dance competition. Juga’s musical journey has been marked with notable achievements, with the release of her debut single ‘Wonder’ in collaboration with esteemed producers Sam V and Hales. 

 

En Passant | 4:45pm – 5:00pm

Charles who goes by the name En Passant is a self-taught musician from Manurewa. The artist is known for combining classical piano and rap.

Brotherhood Musiq | 5:20pm – 6:05pm

Junior, Harry and AJ better known as Brotherhood Musiq are a RnB and soul band based in South Auckland. Brotherhood Musiq have performed with the likes of Stan Walker and SWIDT. 

 

Kings & Ella Monnery | 6:25pm – 7:10pm

Kings is a rapper, singer, songwriter and producer well-known for his debut single, "Don't Worry Bout' It" – which holds the record for the longest-running No. 1 single on the New Zealand Charts. Kings has lead and featured on popular singles with various local artists, including Sons of Zion, L.A.B and Stan Walker.

Ella Monnery is a singer, performer and director of Powerhouse Entertainment. Ella has been singing from a young age, gaining both national and international recognition for her rich and soulful vocals and energetic stage presence. 

 

Thabani Gapara | 7:30pm – 8:15pm

Thabani Gapara is a Zimbabwe-born saxophone player who has become a New Zealand staple in the music scene, adding his funky and fun style to various musical projects.
