Airport Link

AirportLink

Boarding just got a whole lot easier.

Travel on AirportLink buses and trains

To get to Auckland Airport, hop on one of the Southern or Eastern Line trains, which run every 10 minutes from 4.30am - 12.40am, and hop off once you get to Puhinui Station.

Connect here with the orange AirportLink bus, which runs every 10 minutes from approximately 4.30am to 1.00am. AirportLink buses have room for your luggage onboard and travel on bus priority lanes to both the Domestic and International Airport Terminals.

Travel time from Puhinui Station is roughly 13-15 minutes to the Domestic Terminal and 18-20 minutes to the International Terminal.

**weekday services only. Check the Journey Planner for train running times.

Travel from the Airport to the City Centre

The AirportLink bus departs from Bus stop B at the Domestic Terminal and Bus stop A at the International Terminal. Take the bus to Puhinui Station where you can connect with a train. You can stay on the train until you get to Britomart in the city centre, or get off at your local station.

How to pay for public transport

Bus fares can be paid using an AT HOP card. The AT HOP card is a reusable prepaid travel card that can be purchased online or at selected retailers, and must be topped up prior to travel.

You can also use your contactless debit or credit card, smartphone or smart device. Just be sure to tag on and off using the same payment method.

Cash is not accepted on buses. If you're travelling with someone who doesn’t have a HOP card or contactless payment, you can use your HOP card to buy a single-trip paper ticket for them—just ask the driver.

Plan your journey

Like any trip to the Airport it’s important to plan your journey in advance, as weekend rail services are occasionally subject to closures. You can plan your journey with the AT Mobile app or Journey Planner.
