Part of Christmas in the City Centre
More detailsMaggie Marilyn has opened her labels first flagship store in the Britomart Pavilions.
Fashion designer Maggie Hewitt has had the kind of career trajectory that many dream of – the debut collection for her label Maggie Marilyn was picked up by global retailer Net-a-Porter and featured on Vogue.com on launch day. Four years on, she's been profiled by the biggest names in fashion media, been shortlisted for the LMVH Prize (judged by Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld) and is stocked in luxury department stores around the world. So the opening of her Britomart store is a big deal.
This opening is just the first step in a bold plan to transform her business, farewelling all her stockists around the world in favour of selling directly to customers through her own website and stores, and moving towards a completely circular model of sustainability.
The space has been designed with peony-pink walls, wood-lined reeded glass panels, sliding wardrobes and home-like furnishings. A lush garden of native plants in the window will also evolve throughout the year.
