Serving pizza by the slice this well-established pizzeria comes to Vulcan Lane with a great choice of flavours and toppings, no matter what your preference.
il buco have the right formula with their pizza. They have it partially cooked displayed behind the counter, so you can pore over and choose the piece you're after. Once you have your chosen piece, you can then have it heated in the oven, served fresh with hot melting cheese and a crispy base, otherwise you can choose to take-away and heat yourself.
We love the range of vegan pizzas available, including the Ortolana which has shredded courgettes, capsicum, tomato and onion with oregano, and the classic patate with potato and rosemary and olive oil. Served on wooden boards and with great coffee to boot, there are also salads on offer and stuffed mushroom as well as croquettes.
Toppings vary seasonally and include ham, Italian sausage, and salami. Vegetarians or pescaterians can opt for asparagus, spinach, pumpkin, and more on their pizza if they wish. And with anchovies on them, as well as summer options which include tuna, shrimp, and fresh tomatoes, the flavours are always fresh and tasty.
Better yet you pay depending on the number of slices you buy so if you're sharing with a group you can try a whole of each. Or order ahead for catering and functions otherwise for an office shout and try a bit of each flavour.
Even serving muesli in a takeaway coffee cup and soup to go there is plenty of food for those in a rush wanting a cheap and easy food fix. When we visited the soup of the day was mushroom and masala and we like the sound of the pea and mint as well as Thai kumara soup.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available and boxes and paper bags available if you are taking away.
Park for $2 per hour, to a maximum of $10 on evenings and weekends at the Victoria St car park. Find out more.
