Playing at the edges of wildness, euphoria, and the sublime, THE WILD is a whole new universe we will build together. A universe of endless and moving materials, shapes and colours.
Julia and Virginia want to be wild, and want to feel free. They want to head for the horizon and keep going into outer space and into the deep sea. And they need all the help they can get.
They are ready to build a whole new universe that is chaotic and beautiful at the same time. A universe that is just for people like them, who find it difficult to fit in and play by the rules. They want to build a new universe where they can be kinder to each other, their bodies, and the leaky and oozey living material around them. They want adventure. They want possibility… And they want to make a mess.
On our attempt to build this wild utopia we will collectively create worlds of hairy beings, inflatable eco-systems, coloured foam landscapes, walls that leak and ooze, ice that melts, paint bombs that explode and plenty of pop music.
THE WILD is a celebration of the power all all have to make the world anew.
We will make a mess. We will dance as hard as we can. We might just change the world.
THE WILD is a show for ages 4 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more.
