Want to have your work featured in Gus Fisher Gallery?

This June, Gus Fisher Gallery invites you to take part in a unique artistic experience through a series of FREE weaving workshops titled Weaving the Weather. These sessions offer you the opportunity to collaborate on creating a large woven mat from scratch using natural and recycled materials. The finished piece will then be displayed as part of the gallery’s Tala o le tau exhibition.

No weaving experience? No problem! Weaving the Weather is open to adults aged 18 and above of all skill levels so all are welcome whether you’re a complete beginner or simply curious to try something new.

Led by Niuean artist Dahlina (Ina) Taueu, and close friend and collaborator Mary Adeosun, this workshop is inspired by a suite of pandanus mats by Yuki Kihara and women from the Moata’a Aualuma Community. Light refreshments will be provided to fuel your imagination.

This is your chance to be a part of a supportive creative community - book here to save your seat!
