Archived: Vector Lights this Waitangi Day

Don't miss this dramatic, stunning storytelling light show
Vector Lights Waitangi Day

Enjoy five evenings of Vector Lights for Waitangi to commemorate 180 years since the first signing of the Treaty of Waitang between the Tangata whenua and the Crown.

From 2 to 6 February, you can witness a stellar light show on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, bringing the bridge to life with lights and the story of Waikato-Tainui through the years.

As part of this collaboration between Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Council) and Vector Lights, the iwi manaaki of Matariki Festival are offered the opportunity to tell their stories in lights on Auckland’s iconic Harbour Bridge.

About Vector Lights

Vector Lights is a world-first solar, battery and peer-to-peer powered Auckland Harbour Bridge light show that demonstrates a smarter way to power our city. Vector Lights will be programmed for special events throughout the year and subtly frame the architecture of the Harbour Bridge on every other night.
