Set your taste buds loose down at Shed 10 this July, because Street Eats is an appetite whetting new event designed to thrill those of you who have good taste. Street food is great but when it’s prepared by Auckland’s restaurant chefs it’s taken to a whole new level.
Flavours and aromas inspired by the world’s great food cultures are all on offer and each dish cooked to perfection by our city’s expert chefs. This is just the start. For this new incarnation of Street Eats, the event will take over two levels of Shed 10 on Queens Wharf and will be filled with pop-up kitchens, bars, craft beers, natural wines, coffees and boutique spirits. Two stages will host different musical acts each session complemented by a schedule of eclectic live performances.
But it’s not around for long, Street Eats is happening over just two nights and one afternoon, so round up your friends and grab your tickets as this event promises a whole lot of fun, handed to you on a plate. This is your winter outing to remember.
Scottish aerialist and acrobat Lauren Jamieson will be performing each day at the event as the “Twisted Mistress.” Her performances will take place during DJ sets by Sammie, Sweet Mix Kids, Mr Big Stuff, Bavhu, and Magic Dick Johnson of Weird Together Sound System. Live bands throughout the two days include The Rvmes, The Meme Wilda Band and Hopetoun Brown. DJ Forge’s sets each evening will be accompanied by Burlesque performers from Hootchy Kootchy Girls Burlesque Studio.
