Ripeka Pae by Robert Jahnke is the latest exhibition to hit the Lightworx Gallery.

Robert is considered one of New Zealand’s leading contemporary Māori artists.

His work is typically based on political issues that face Māori people, the relationship between Māori and European colonizers and the impact of Christianity on Māori culture.

The Ripeka Pae and Purehuroa series engage audiences in an immersive field of interactive light that reflect customary lattice-work patterns and narratives from tribal houses while politicising bi-cultural commitment.
