Join Peter Gordon and the team at Homeland as they celebrate Tāmaki Makaurau producers with a four-course menu featuring local produce from South Auckland, the Hauraki Gulf, Franklin, Piha and Te Henga.

Make your way to this stunning waterfront venue, where a cocktail awaits your arrival. Your first stop is the Homeland cooking bench, where you'll help Peter Gordon assemble a snack - the fish head crostini, using his legendary 22-year-old sourdough starter, 'Wayne'. As the evening progresses, you’ll hear from The Kai Ika Project who rescue and distribute excess kai moana through Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae in Mangere.

Next on the itinerary is dinner in the Dining Room. Take a seat at a long table where Peter and his team await with a uniquely Tāmaki Makaurau menu featuring fresh produce from the gardens of Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae in Mangere, local fish from the Hauraki Gulf and hollandaise using Clevedon’s Wild Fermentary kimchi.

For mains, indulge in a kiwi winter classic of a pork boil up – featuring cheek and belly which good mate Rewi Spraggon (The Hāngi Master) has cooked in his hāngi pits at Te Henga Bethells Beach, not forgetting the dough boys and greens of course. Last but certainly not least, savour a decadent local honey parfait with chocolate and hazelnuts.

About Homeland

Regarded as the Food Embassy of Aotearoa and the Pacific, Peter Gordon and his partner Alastair Carruthers have built up a legacy of supporting producers, teaching people to cook, buying local and trading stories with one another. Homeland is more than just a restaurant. It is a cooking school, a dining room, an innovation hub and most importantly, a connector of communities.
