Seven unique Lorne Street spots are putting their best foot forward this Restaurant Month for a travelling feast of dumplings, noodles and unique Asian delights.
Forget a long-haul flight in coach class, put your walking shoes on and stretch your legs for this group and self-guided gastronomic day out guaranteed to leave you with a happy belly - this is a taste of Asia right in the heart of the city!
If you've ever wondered why dumpling flavours, fillings and cooking techniques vary so much - it's all according to their regional origins and unique traditions passed down through generations. Each stop on this crawl is hosted by the restaurant owners and managers themselves, ready to greet and invite you to learn about their culture and cuisine - some of which might even show you a trick or two on how to make these juicy morsels!
Begin your journey by checking in at Khartoum Place on Lorne Street and recieve the route for your journey that awaits.
Indulge in the irresistible flavours of Asia on this culinary journey where you'll savour Bao & Noodle's fluffy yet juicy pork puns, kiwi-Asian dumplings at Sumthin Dumplin and the tantalising taste of piping hot soup dumplings straight from the Shanghai region. But the delights don't end there. Throw in one (or two) stops in Vietnam, China or Japan for a satisfying slurp of pho, udon or Xi'an noodles.
Once you've completed your tiki tour of Lorne Street's delights, redeem your drink (included in your ticket; alcoholic or non-alcoholic) at the city's newest wine bar, Paname Social.

Important Note About The Event:
As this event is a progressive, dumpling and noodle crawl that will be deliverd in a round-robin style – there will be a mix of standing and seats at various stops due to the physical space of these eateries. You will be walking with a group (of around 20 diners) and each stop is approximately 20 minutes long.
The event will commence at 12.30pm, please arrive 10 mins early to ensure you have checked in and received your route.
This is a partially outdoor event. If the weather forecast is significant and deemed unsafe, please note that the event has a rain date of 19th August 2023. The Event Organisers will inform you in the event of a postponement due to severe weather.
