Take a journey through the perfume-making process with Naturally Ready this Spring, where you'll start by walking through the science and history of perfume.
As you're introduced to the different kinds of fragrances, you'll gain an understanding over the course of the class how fragrance notes work and be guided through the fragrance pyramid and fragrance wheel. By the end of the class, you will have the confidence to layer fragrances and design your own signature scent!
With over 100 natural fragrances available in studio, you'll explore the fragrance family from fresh, floral and fruity to spicy, earthy and woody. Using perfumer's grade alcohol and only natural absolutes, extracts, resins, essential and plant oils, you will create a scent profile that's unique to you.
You will be spoilt for choice of crowd favourites and niche scents like jasmine and ylang-ylang, frangipani, rosewood, vanilla, juniper, grapefruit, lemon, lavender, rose, patchouli, cinnamon and cedarwood to name a few. You will also be introduced to Australian and New Zealand native ingredients like lemon myrtle, tea tree, eucalyptus blue gum, kunzea, manuka and kawakawa.
At the end of the workshop, you will make your own fragrances in two styles:
1) Your choice of Eau de Cologne or Eau de Toilette in a perfumer's grade alcohol base, 30ml spray bottle.
2) Eau de Parfum, a luxurious oil-based perfume in a stylish 10ml bottle, a handbag or purse must-have.
We'll also discuss the etiquette of perfumery; how to apply fragrances, what to do and not to do to make fragrances linger and last.
