Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness is the renowned work of Harvard Law School professor and former Obama administration staffer Cass Sunstein, co-written with Nobel Prize winner in economics Richard Thaler. The book is a revelatory examination of how people make decisions and how governments might persuade their citizens to act in socially beneficial ways while curbing government over-reaching. Its fans include Nobel Prize winning Daniel Kahneman and Freakanomics author Stephen D Levitt. Sunstein’s wide-ranging books also include How Change Happens, looking at how, when and why, social movements such as #metoo and nationalism suddenly take off; and the very timely Impeachment: A Citizen’s Guide. The big thinker speaks with Toby Manhire.
