At this unique, one-night-only five course dinner, award-winning chef and kingi co-founder Tom will shine a light on kingi’s namesake, harnessing its versatility to create five unforgettable courses that showcase kingfish as you’ve likely never experienced it before. Using a different part of the kingfish in each of the five courses, Tom will demonstrate inventive techniques combined with local and seasonal produce that showcases the versatility of the fish. 

Smoked wing croquettes and a kingfish steak with skordilla and pickled mushroom will both make an appearance on the menu, along with other delicious dishes.

During the event, our friends at LegaSea, a non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring the abundance, biodiversity and health of New Zealand’s marine environment, will be in attendance to  give a small talk around kingfish stocks and the current fisheries status from around the country. 

You won’t want to miss out on this culinary journey paying homage to the kingfish, and yes… that includes dessert!
