The Japanese Film Festival is back to bring you another unforgettable cinematic experience. The festival will showcase a diverse selection of films. From human documentary-like stories to heartwarming narratives, a carefully curated lineup of six films promises to cater to every cinematic taste.
Aimed to bring New Zealanders to a greater understanding of Japan and its culture, and to celebrate Japanese cinema, whether you are a seasoned film fan or simply seeking entertainment, there's something for everyone at the Japanese Film Festival!
All films will be in Japanese with English subtitles.
The 2024 Japanese Film Festival will be running November 14th - 17th.
Tickets to the festival are free. Tickets can be booked either through the Academy Cinemas website ($1.50 booking fee applies) or at the Academy Cinemas counter (no booking fee).
Please note phone bookings are NOT available for the festival.
