We reckon you need a laugh, New Zealand!
During the 2020 pandemic, New Zealand is one of the first countries in the world to open back up to live comedy. We think this historical moment needs to be documented, celebrated and most importantly, we want to share an inspiring message of hope.
First Laugh is a live comedy show featuring New Zealand’s top comedians, to bring awareness and funds to Direct Relief, an international organisation in over 80 countries whose mission is to improve the lives of people affected by Covid-19, as well as other emergency situations. Since January, Direct Relief has delivered more than 4 million N95 and surgical masks, more than 2 million gloves, and tens of thousands of protective suits and other items to help safeguard health workers.
There's only two chances (in one night!) to laugh your 'First Laugh' at the iconic SkyCity Auckland Theatre, both shows will be 90 minutes and are jam packed with New Zealand’s best Stand Up acts.
