As part of their usual Easter tradition, Academy is once again bringing you a selection of sacrilegious screenings, and it is the biggest lineup they've had to date!

To give you an idea of how Academy celebrates this Holy weekend, expect cooked preachers, multiple films featuring very 'psychedelic' interpretations of Jesus, sex-starved nuns and oddly enough.. lots of Bob Hoskins!

Film screenings:

Playing all weekend 7 - 18 Apr - Benedetta | Rated R18 | 131 mins: The scandalous new film from Paul Verhoeven

Good Friday, 15 Apr - The Long Good Friday (1980) | Rated R16 | 115 mins: A gritty British crime classic that made Bob Hoskins a star!

Holy Saturday, 16 Apr - Holy Saturday: The Holy Mountain / The Devils | Rated R18 | 211 mins: Two films for the price of one! This sacrilegious double bill is an Academy fan favourite, a tradition running into its 6th year.

Easter Sunday, 17 Apr - Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) | Raed PG | 100 mins: We gotta bring you a rabbit film for Easter, and this in is a ground-breaking, family-friendly classic. Elmer Gantry (1960) | Rated R16 | 146 mins: In addition, an amazingly performed Oscar-winning drama about a very sexy, very crooked preacher!

Easter Monday, 18 Apr - God Told Me (1976) | Rated R16 | 91 mins: An unsettling and wholly unique sci-fi/horror/crime hybrid from the director of It's Alive!

$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more
