Adding to the entertainment, and in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Lord of The Rings, Wētā Workshop are hosting a very special live panel and Q&A; Join Richard Taylor, Daniel Falconer and a cohort of Wētā Workshop artists as they discuss the concepts, costumes and weaponry that helped bring Tolkien’s Middle-earth to life on the big screen.

Head to the Wētā Cave at Unleashed, where the crew will reveal never-before-seen statues, figurines, and prop replicas; it’s your chance to see the collectibles magic up close, and be among the first to place a pre-order.
Artist demonstrations | 10:00am each day
Get a glimpse behind the curtains and chat to the crew as their team of artists showcases their skillsets in sword making, textile design, painting, sculpting and more.
Scars & scrapes FX | 11:00am each day
Create a backstory for your ‘wound’ and experience the feeling of wearing a prosthetic. Wētā will be hosting free ‘scars and scrapes’ sessions in the Wētā Cave at Unleashed – fun for kids and adults alike!

Bring your favourite game to play, or pick from the Wētā Workshop games available at their open tabletop game sessions. There will be six to eight tables available, so make sure you arrive nice and early.

Leave the weekend bursting at the seams with creativity and book a combo deal (including a creative workshop and a tour). For the Collectibles Unleashed weekend only, a Wētā Workshop technician will join in on the creative workshop with you!
