Inspired by the life of the singer, songwriter, pianist, and activist Nina Simone, Black Is The Color Of My Voice follows a singer as she seeks redemption after the death of her father. Through a powerhouse combination of song and text, she reflects on her journey from a piano prodigy destined for a life in the service of the church, to extraordinary jazz musician at the forefront of the civil rights movement.
