Following sell-out seasons in Shanghai, New York, Edinburgh, and the West End, Apphia Campbell brings her acclaimed one-woman show to NZ. Inspired by the life of the singer, songwriter, pianist, and activist Nina Simone, Black Is The Color Of My Voice follows a singer as she seeks redemption after the death of her father. Through a powerhouse combination of song and text, she reflects on her journey from a piano prodigy destined for a life in the service of the church, to extraordinary jazz musician at the forefront of the civil rights movement.
$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more.
