A unique opportunity to learn about Mahinga Kai and New Zealand flora from special guest Matua Riki Bennett.

Our Autumn Forage - Mahinga Kai with Riki Bennett starts at Auckland Domain with a walk through the lower tracks to discover a range of edible and not so edible plants, trees and berries.

Riki will explain the different plants and trees including the Nīkāu, our indigenous palm to puha to kawakawa.

We will then return to the New Zealand School of Food and Wine for a detailed presentation on the native plants, trees and Māori tanga which will be followed by a gourmet lunch.
