Urban Mesh is a collaborative project between Link Alliance, Artweek and artist Deborah Crowe.

A series of Crowe’s large photographic collages will form a colourful ribbon of imagery occupying one of Link Alliance’s hoardings on Albert St around the construction area of Aotea Station.

Built from photographic imagery gathered during Crowe’s urban ‘wanderings’ in this area of Tāmaki Makaurau, Urban Mesh fuses references to the past, present, and imagines potential future environmental factors in our urban landscape. A key element embedded in this digitally woven artwork is the significance of experiencing ‘green in the city’, and the positive impact that flora and plant life have on well-being, placemaking, and an enriched experience of space.

$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more
